In Ms. Blanding's class, students explored how scientists developed a gene-editing tool and used it to modify an Axolotl egg by incorporating green fluorescent protein (GFP) from a jellyfish. This process resulted in a glowing Axolotl. Today, we took on the role of geneticists and 'injected' our Axolotl eggs with GFP. The experiment was a success—our eggs glowed!

The students relished the chance to play outside, delighting in the snow mounds created from clearing the cement. It's always wonderful to get fresh air and sunlight.

Third-grade students from Ms. Klein's classroom engaged in Snap Circuits during their academic time. They demonstrated teamwork and problem-solving skills while following directions from a plan. This activity is an excellent way to introduce students to STEM and give them the opportunity to apply the scientific method.

Congratulations to this year’s Fall Semester High Honor Roll & Honor Roll Recipients!🎉
