It's SENIOR NiGHT In Ellsworth!!!
The Senior class has won the Class of the Year or COTY competition! COTY is the year long competition for High School students to increase participation and school spirit at all activities. Classes can earn points for the number of students present at a school sponsored event or activity. This was the first year of the competition and it was a huge success. It was a close race between the Senior's and the Freshman. The reward for the winning class is a day off of school, which was school board approved. Senior's will have Monday, May 6th, off from school. Congrats Seniors!
Senior Graduation Practice and Last Day:
Seniors and Families,
Graduation practice is on Wednesday, May 15th in morning from 8:00-9:25 am. Seniors who flex or have ABD during that time (1st Hour) are required to be present. Seniors, please inform your ABD employer/supervisor of your absence that morning. Then at approximately 9:20 am, seniors will be bussed down to EES for their Graduation Walk. After the walk, they will be bussed back to EJSHS and will complete the rest of their regularly scheduled day.
The last day for seniors is Thursday, May 16th. Seniors will be released at 12:55 pm.

State Music Medalists! Senior Vocal Trio Peyton Coonrod, Avery Holecek, and Zoe Wimmer, French Horn Solo Kate Rathbun, and Vocal Soloist Zoe Wimmer all earned a 1 Rating at the State Small Group & Solos Festival at Southeast of Saline on Saturday! Congratulations to these ladies! Great day to be a Bearcat!
The Junior High Drive-In Night is being cancelled due the forecasted severe weather tonight.

It was a great day for Bearcat Fine Arts programs. HS Band, Choir and the Bearcats Singers all received a 1 or Superior rating for their performances at the KSHSAA State Large Group Festival in Beloit. Next, 16 Art students came home with 28 merit awards from the FHSU Art Show! It was a great day for the Bearcats and our Fine Arts Programs!
