Bearcat CTE News

Here are some pictures of the HS Band's performance at the state fair yesterday!

The EHS Bearcat Band just returned from a very successful day at the Kansas State Fair Marching Band Competition. The band competed in parade-style marching with the school fight song, as well as arena performance with "I Want You Back" (Jackson 5) and "Let It Be" (The Beatles).
Music competitions are scored on a scale from IV (fair) to I (outstanding). In the marching portion, the band received a I rating from all three judges, for an overall rating of I. In the arena, the band received a I+ rating from all three judges, for an overall rating of I+. A I+ is the highest rating a band can achieve in competition, only being awarded to a handful of bands each year. Please join us in congratulating Mr. Wilson and the Bearcat Band for this outstanding achievement!
If you want to hear the Bearcat Band's sound for yourself, make sure to attend the homecoming football game on October 4, where they will be putting on a combined halftime performance with the junior high band! We hope to see you there!
