Central Kansas Cooperative in Education has two paraeducator positions open in USD 327 for the 2021-2022 school year. The positions are at Ellsworth Elementary School and Ellsworth Junior/Senior High School. Individuals will: provide assistance in implementing plans and programs related to academic or functional skill attainment for students with disabilities, observe and document student progress and/or behavior, and ensure the safety and welfare of students. Applicants must enjoy working with special needs students and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Individuals who apply must have a high school diploma or equivalent and must pass the state paraeducator assessment or have a minimum of 48 college hours or post-secondary degree. Employment will be subject to a drug screening, physical exam, criminal background check and TB screening. The starting base pay is $10.96 per hour with work days being when students attend school.
