Graduation for the Class of 2021 is approaching. At last week’s Board of Education meeting it was decided to proceed with graduation plans in as normal of a setting as we can. As the weeks fly by in April and May, the EJSH administration and staff will work on completing these plans and providing for a minimally invasive day as possible.
Key Points to know for now:
- The ceremony starts at 2 PM on Sunday May 23rd and doors will open to the public at 1:30
- No tickets are required and there will be no limiting of guests at this time
- Two location settings will be offered
- Gym – will be mask optional environment and will be where the actual ceremony takes place just like in years past
- Performing Arts Center – will be for those wishing to mask and social distance. A video feed from the gym will be available
- Graduating students will be allowed to walk across the stage to receive their diplomas and have the option to shake hands with BOE members
- A traditional pre-Covid ceremony is our goal
- USD327 and Ellsworth High School will do their best to say “Good-bye” to the Class of 2021 at the ceremony and we hope to make it an enjoyable celebration for all.
- If plans must change, we will keep you informed
We hope to see you there and celebrate our senior class!
