USD327 Ellsworth-Kanopolis-Geneseo Board of Education has announced the selection of Josh Lanning, as the new superintendent. Mr. Lanning will take the reins on July 1, 2021, after the departure of Dale Brungardt at the end of this school year.
Mr. Lanning has a broad educational experience, as a teacher, coach, and administrator in Kansas. He is the current superintendent of USD237 Smith Center Kansas.
The Kansas Association of School Boards, who assisted in the application process for the district, received nearly twenty applications and presented them to the Board of Education at a special meeting on January 21st. The Board reviewed these applications and narrowed that list to four finalists who were interviewed.
USD327 Ellsworth welcomes Mr. Lanning to the Bearcat family and is looking forward to his future leadership.
