     The Lady Bearcats were in action again as they hosted another junior varsity tournament.  From six teams,  Bearcats finished in 3rd place with 19 points, just being edged out of 2nd place by Hillsboro with 20 points.  Sterling finished first with 24 points.
     The competition was lead by #1 doubles team Stormy T. and Rachel S. winning the 1st place match against Sterling in grueling fashion as they overcame a 1-5 game deficit to comeback and win in tie-break 7-2!  #2 doubles Emma S. and Shylo T. were able to win their 5th place match 7-5 against Abilene. 
     Freshman Bekah V. and Sami C. who usually play doubles together played in their first meet as singles.  At #1 singles, Bekah V. won her 3rd place match 6-0, while at #2 singles, Sami C. won her 5th place match 6-2.
     Next week, Lady Bearcats Tennis go on the road; Tuesday to Phillpsburg and Thursday to Smoky Valley.
